
Maama Scores from Louza's Assist as Watford Draw 2-2 with Preston in Championship
Watford and hosts Preston North End played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in their Championship clash, part of the 32nd round of the English Football League Championship.
Preston North End took an early lead through Louis Dobbins in the 19th minute, capitalizing on defensive disarray inside the penalty area.
Watford had to wait until the 55th minute to level the score, with Moroccan international Othmane Maama finding the net after a superb assist from his compatriot Imran Louza, who also put in a standout performance in midfield.
Just two minutes later, Watford found themselves ahead with a second goal when Preston's Joshua Onomah scored an unfortunate own goal in the 57th minute.
Despite falling behind, the home side showed a strong reaction, with Milutin Osmajic eventually restoring parity by scoring the equalizer.
Following this result, Preston North End moved to 48 points, placing them seventh in the table, while Watford reached 45 points and sit in twelfth. The race for the promotion spots remains wide open as the crucial stages of the season approach.
