Shaabani Apologizes to Berkane Fans, States: "Qualification is in Our Hands, We Will Fight Rivers United to Regain Supporters' Trust"

RS Berkane coach, Moïn Chaabani, expressed his regret to the club's fans following the recent setbacks against Pyramids FC and Baws Dynamos. He emphasized that the team is required to deliver a strong response in the decisive CAF Champions League encounter against Rivers United.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Chaabani acknowledged that the team had not delivered the anticipated performance in the previous two matches. He noted that the technical staff had held sessions with the players to address several technical and mental aspects. He further explained that while the squad possesses highly talented individuals, team cohesion has been impacted by the lack of a full pre-season preparation with the complete group before the start of the season.

The Tunisian coach stressed that this phase does not allow for justifications for past failures, emphasizing the urgent need to regain balance and deliver a much-improved performance in the upcoming game.

Chaabani viewed the clash against Rivers United as a dual opportunity: to secure qualification on one hand, and to restore the supporters' trust on the other. He highlighted that the opponent would enter the match without pressure, having already lost their chances of advancing, which could make them play with greater freedom and motivation.

He concluded his statement by stressing the importance of mental focus and winning individual duels, while also aiming to score an early goal to simplify the team's task and provide a psychological advantage throughout the match.
