Fadlo: 'Squad Stability and Player Harmony Will Hurt Many Opponents'
Raja Club Athletic coach Fadlu Davids explained after the 1-0 defeat to Club Meknassi in the eleventh round of the professional league that the team delivered a good performance in terms of creating chances. However, he noted that they still face challenges related to consistency and harmony among players, affirming his confidence that results will improve over time.
Davids stated: "We placed Halimi and Cheraibi in midfield, with Bougrine ahead of them, but the correct decisions were not made in the final third. A match like today's should have been won by four clear goals."
He added: "The mechanisms in the match were designed to make the team more effective. For example, Sharara doesn't want the ball in space, while Mathias likes to play the ball into space. We created chances, but the ball didn't go into the net."
He continued: "Our problem is the lack of consistency in positive results, for instance, drawing against MAS in the last minute, and against Touarga with a numerical disadvantage. Today's match was one we should have won. When you help players reach their best levels, they will work to achieve victories."
Davids further explained: "Changes in the lineup require time to adapt. Currently, we need to settle on a stable starting XI, and I am confident that performance and results will remain consistent, driven by the players' desire and fighting spirit."
He concluded his remarks by saying: "We are frustrated by what we saw today, but we are also confident that the development of harmony among the players will enable us to impact many teams."
