AS FAR coach, Alexandre Santos, expressed his dissatisfaction with the decision to ban the club's fans ahead of their CAF Champions League group stage match against Young Africans.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Santos stated: "I don't like playing a match without fans. Frankly, for us, this is a significant punishment because while our team is being penalized, other teams are benefiting."

The AS FAR coach added: "Our fans are known for their strength and immense support. They genuinely help the team and put pressure on opponents inside the stadium."

Santos deemed the decision unfair, stressing that alternative punishments exist. He remarked: "It's unfair because I believe there are other ways to impose penalties. Many incidents occur in Africa that are incomparable, yet they are not handled in the same manner."

AS FAR is scheduled to host Young Africans on Saturday at 8:00 PM (GMT+1).
