Watford Retains Othman Maamma Amid Interest From Several Clubs
Media sources report that player Othman Maamma will continue his journey with Watford until the end of the current season, with no changes during the winter transfer window, despite significant interest in the Moroccan winger from several European clubs.
The "footmercato" website revealed that French clubs Lille and Nantes were interested in signing the 20-year-old player. However, Watford's management, considering him an indispensable part of the team, rejected the idea of letting him go at this time.
According to the same source, Watford received several calls and offers, and the player's agent made significant efforts to explore various possibilities. Nevertheless, the English club's stance remained firm, insisting on keeping their player until the end of the season.
Interest was not limited to French clubs; Italian side AS Roma also entered negotiations. The Italian club submitted a verbal offer for a paid loan worth one million euros, with a purchase option of 14 million euros, but this offer was rejected by Watford.
