Renaissance Berkane is close to strengthening its squad with international goalkeeper Anas Zniti during the current winter transfer window.

Al-Botola learned from a private source that goalkeeper Zniti is close to signing with Renaissance Berkane, who are looking to sign a goalkeeper following Mounir El Mohamadi's injury.

Should the deal be made official, Zniti is expected to mark his return to the Botola Pro league after a brief stint with UAE's Al Wasl, following his departure from Raja Club Athletic, where he played for nine years.

Zniti won several local and continental titles with "the Eagles," most notably the CAF Confederation Cup twice in 2018 and 2021, and two Botola Pro league titles in the 2019/2020 and 2023/2024 seasons.
