Akhomach: 'I Was Clear in My Choice for Rayo Vallecano, Their Style Suits Me'

Moroccan international Ilias Akhomach expressed his happiness at joining Rayo Vallecano, affirming that his decision was based on full conviction after discussing the team's project with coach Iñigo.

Speaking to the Spanish club's official channel, Akhomach said: "Since Iñigo spoke to me about this proposal to come to Rayo, it seemed very interesting to me. There were other clubs that also contacted me for a loan move this season, but I was very clear in my choice with Rayo and with Iñigo." The Moroccan international added: "I believe the playing style suits me very much, and the club is very family-oriented, which I think will be very good for me."

Akhomach also spoke about the team atmosphere and his quick integration with his teammates. He stated: "Regarding my teammates, honestly, I've integrated very well with them. I knew more than one player, and so far everything is going well. I have a great desire to help the team. Ultimately, if I help the team, things go well on a personal level."

The Moroccan player outlined his goals with the team for the upcoming period, emphasizing his desire to give his best on the pitch. He declared: "My goal is to give everything I have on the field, to show what I am capable of, and then to maintain the objectives that Rayo has, that the team has, and that the coach sets, and to continue in this manner."

The player also noted that Rayo Vallecano's participation in the UEFA Europa Conference League was among the important reasons for his choice, adding: "It's also clear that one of the reasons is that Rayo is participating in the Europa Conference League, which is a very beautiful competition and I believe it will benefit me greatly."
