Persistent Injury Threatens Pogba's 2026 World Cup Dream
Paul Pogba's hopes of representing the French national team at the 2026 World Cup are diminishing due to a persistent left calf injury.
The Juventus midfielder sustained this injury on December 13 during training, forcing him to miss four matches, and he will also be absent from the upcoming game against Lorient. This marks his third injury this season, following a thigh problem in October and an ankle sprain on October 31.
Pogba has only featured for 30 minutes of play with Juventus this season. Last week, a coach stated: “Paul is still out of the squad for now, and we will see next week.”
Pogba continues to focus on treatment and remains out of group training, with no return date set yet.
