Ighalo: Nigeria Must Exert More Effort Than Against Algeria to Beat Morocco and Silence the Stadium
Former Nigerian international Odion Ighalo believes his national team must be mentally strong ahead of their anticipated clash against Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals.
Speaking to Nigeria's "Daily Post" network, Ighalo said: "The players must be mentally ready for this match. They will face great pressure against the Moroccan national team." He added: "As you know, the Moroccan team is young, and they possess speed and agility in handling the ball."
He continued: "If Nigeria wants to win this match, the players must exert more effort than they did against Algeria and silence that stadium. I believe they have the ability to achieve that."
The Nigerian national team is set to face their Moroccan counterparts the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, kicking off at 9:00 PM (GMT+1).
