
AFCON Morocco Attendance Exceeds One Million Spectators, Nearing Historic Record
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, hosted in Morocco, has witnessed historic fan turnout, reflecting the immense passion for African football. The number of spectators has already surpassed one million, an unprecedented figure for the tournament.
According to official statistics, the total fan attendance has reached 1,043,700 spectators so far, with only four matches remaining before the competition concludes.
This edition is now a strong candidate to become the highest-attended in Africa Cup of Nations history. It is expected to surpass the record set in the previous tournament, hosted by Côte d'Ivoire, which reached 1.1 million spectators.
With the group stage matches concluded and the tournament entering its decisive phases, the attendance record is poised to increase further during the two semi-final matches, the third-place playoff, and the final, underscoring the remarkable fan success of this edition.
