Dorgeles Achieves Unique Feat: Two Matches in Two Countries in Under 24 Hours
Malian international Nene Dorgeles achieved a remarkable feat, participating in two matches for two different teams in two separate countries in less than 24 hours.
On Friday evening, Dorgeles came on as a substitute in the 55th minute during Mali's Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final match against Senegal, held in Tangier. The match concluded with Mali suffering a one-goal defeat.
Despite his national team's elimination, the 23-year-old forward immediately traveled over 3,000 kilometers by private jet to Istanbul.
Dorgeles arrived just in time to join his club Fenerbahçe for the Turkish Super Cup final against Galatasaray on Saturday, where he entered the game as a substitute in the 69th minute.
Fenerbahçe secured a 2-0 victory in the match, with goals scored by Matteo Guendouzi and Jayden Oosterwolde, allowing Dorgeles to celebrate the title with his teammates.
