Algeria's Benlamri Backs Lumumba: "Amoura Was 1000% Unaware of Your Stance's Meaning"

Former Algerian international Djamel Benlamri has expressed his solidarity with "Lumumba" following the actions of his compatriot Mohamed Amoura, indicating that Amoura was unaware of the message conveyed by the Congolese fan.

Benlamri posted on his official Instagram account, stating: "To my brother, the Congolese fan. Your emotion after your country's team was eliminated was not a weakness, but rather a sign of sincere love for your homeland. This is a feeling we respect in Algeria, just as we respect everyone who carries their homeland in their heart."

He continued: "We are a people who have experienced colonialism and known the meaning of injustice. Therefore, we can never mock a revolutionary or despise the feelings of a brotherly nation. Algeria is the land of martyrs and revolutionaries, and our history has taught us that the dignity of peoples is one, regardless of differences in colors and flags."

He added: "Your message has reached us, and your respect is preserved in our hearts. From Algeria to Congo, there is love, respect, and a unity greater than football. I am 1000% sure that Amoura was unaware of the meaning behind your stand."
