South Africa Defeat Angola (2-1) in AFCON Opener

South Africa began their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 2-1 victory over Angola. The match took place on Monday evening at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, as part of the first round of the group stage.
Oswin Appollis opened the scoring for "Bafana Bafana" in the 21st minute, before Manuel Luis Show equalized for Angola in the 35th minute. Lyle Foster then scored South Africa's second goal in the 79th minute, securing their first win in the continental tournament.
With this victory, South Africa temporarily lead Group B with three points, awaiting the match between Egypt and Zimbabwe later today (21:00 GMT+1) in the same group.
