Iran Reverses Boycott Decision, Will Attend 2026 World Cup Draw

Iran has announced that its representatives will attend the 2026 World Cup draw, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, in Washington, after initially confirming a boycott of the ceremony.
The decision to boycott was made in protest against the United States' refusal to grant entry visas to several members of its delegation.
In this context, the spokesperson for the Iranian Football Federation told state television: "Amir Ghalenoei, the coach of the Iranian national team, will participate in the World Cup draw ceremony as a technical representative for the national team, accompanied by one or two other individuals."
