Egypt Coach: 'We Could Have Scored Five Goals in Each Half Against Kuwait'
Helmy Tolan, coach of the Egyptian reserve national team, believes his side was capable of securing a wide-margin victory in both halves against Kuwait, emphasizing that football punishes those who squander opportunities.
Speaking to the media after the 1-1 draw against Kuwait in the opening round of the Arab Cup, Tolan stated: "We were the better side throughout both halves. The first half alone could have ended with four or five goals, and the same applies to the second half."
He continued: "This is football; when you waste chances, you get punished. But thank God, we managed to compensate with two penalties; we missed the first and scored the second."
The Egyptian reserve team coach concluded by saying: "The players gave their all, and God willing, we will make up for it next time."
