Brazilian club Flamengo has been crowned champions of the Copa Libertadores 2025, after defeating fellow Brazilian side Palmeiras 1-0 in the final match held at the Estadio Monumental in Lima, the Peruvian capital.
The sole goal of the encounter was scored by former Real Madrid defender Danilo, who found the net in the 67th minute.
This triumph adds another title to Flamengo's trophy cabinet, raising their tally to four titles in the competition, having previously won the trophy in 1981, 2019, and 2022. They now stand as the most successful Brazilian team in the tournament, surpassing Santos, São Paulo, Palmeiras, and Grêmio, each of whom holds three titles.
