Brothers Banned for 3 Years After Sneaking into Match Dressed as Stewards

In a bizarre incident in England, two Portsmouth supporters attempted to circumvent security measures to attend the "South Coast Derby" against Southampton last September, during the fifth round of the English Championship.

The brothers decided to infiltrate St Mary's Stadium wearing yellow high-visibility jackets typically worn by stewards and carried internal communication devices to mislead security personnel.

However, their elaborate scheme was short-lived. Security staff quickly discovered they did not possess official accreditation passes, leading to their removal from the stadium and subsequent prosecution.

A British court has since ruled to ban them from attending any football match for three years, in addition to fining each brother approximately £700.

A security official from Hampshire Police described the incident as a "ridiculous plan" and a desperate attempt to watch the match at any cost, noting that coordination between the club and security quickly led to the discovery of the deception.
