Calm has returned to the Nigerian national team camp in Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco, after a day that saw players boycott training in protest over unpaid financial entitlements.

William Troost-Ekong, captain of the "Super Eagles," announced today, Wednesday, via platform 'X', that all financial disputes have been resolved, allowing the team to fully focus on its goal of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

The defender confirmed the end of the crisis in a message posted on his official account, stating: "The issue has been resolved, outstanding payments have been settled. The team is united and focused as usual on the task of representing Nigeria in the best possible way in the upcoming matches."

The Nigerian national team will face Gabon tomorrow, Thursday (17:00 GMT+1), in the semi-finals of the African play-off. This will be played as a mini "winner-takes-all" knockout tournament, with the winning team securing a spot in the global play-offs, scheduled for March 2026.
