Nigerian National Team Players Boycott Training in Morocco Over Unpaid Dues

The players and technical staff of the Nigerian national team have decided to boycott training sessions during their camp in Morocco. This action comes as they prepare for the African qualifiers for the continental playoff leading to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This step was taken after some national team players refused to participate in Tuesday's scheduled training session, protesting the non-payment of overdue bonuses and financial entitlements.
The Nigerian Football Federation has not yet issued any official statement clarifying its position on the players' protest. This protest occurred ahead of Nigeria's crucial match against Gabon, scheduled for Thursday at 17:00 GMT+1.
