El Zabiri 'Shocked' by Public Reception for Morocco U20s, Thought It Was for Senior Team

Yasser El Zabiri, a player for the Moroccan U20 national team, expressed his immense joy at the reception the 'Atlas Cubs' received at the Royal Palace, noting that he was shocked by the large crowds who came to welcome them.

When asked about the moment that will remain etched in his mind, El Zabiri stated: “The second goal I scored against Argentina was an unforgettable moment because I told myself that we were getting closer to achieving the dream.”

He concluded: “I cried for goalkeeper Mesbahi during the penalty shootout against France. He is a young man of high character and is the first player to celebrate for us whenever we score a goal, and he deserves that joy.”
