Hakimi Joins Morocco Squad Ahead of World Cup Departure to USA
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi joined the national team's training camp at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora this Wednesday morning. This comes before the "Atlas Lions" delegation departs for the United States to prepare for the World Cup finals.
Hakimi's arrival was delayed compared to the rest of the national team players, as he benefited from an extended rest period after winning the UEFA Champions League title with his club, Paris Saint-Germain, and participating in the Parisian team's celebrations for this achievement.
Hakimi is considered one of the key pillars of the Moroccan national team squad. The technical staff heavily relies on him for upcoming challenges, given his extensive experience and high performance level, both with his club and with the "Atlas Lions."
The national team delegation is expected to depart for the United States this afternoon, entering the final phase of preparations before the World Cup kicks off.
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team is in Group C of the World Cup, alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
