Lille Determined to Keep Bouadi; President Insists on 'Exceptional' Offers
Young Moroccan international Ayoub Bouadi continues to attract the attention of major European clubs during the summer transfer window, following his impressive performances with French side Lille.
Club president Olivier Létang emphasized that the player's stay within Lille is the best option for now, given that he enjoys regular playing time and participates in the Champions League, which the club considers an ideal environment for his football development.
Létang also clarified that the club management will meet with the player and his agent to discuss his future, but without altering the club's fundamental vision, which is based on retaining one of its most prominent talents.
Regarding potential offers, a figure close to 50 million euros has been circulated, but Lille's management deemed this amount insufficient. The president affirmed that the club would only consider his departure if the offer was 'very exceptional,' indicating that Bouadi would only be released for a massive deal.
Létang told RMC: “Bouadi renewed his contract until 2029, so he still has three seasons with us.”
The same speaker added: “He is a young player, 18 years old, and he regularly plays for a team competing in the Champions League. Where else could he guarantee such playing minutes outside of Lille? This is an important part of his project.”
He continued: “We are in constant communication with the player, and our goal is clear: to keep him within the team.”
He concluded: “Any offer must be very exceptional, because the player's true value is much higher than the figures currently being circulated.”
