Labyad Rejects Al-Qadsiah Offer, Committed to Corinthians Journey
Moroccan international Zakaria Labyad has rejected a significant financial offer from Saudi club Al-Qadsiah, opting instead to continue his tenure with Brazilian side Corinthians during the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to "Africa Foot," Al-Qadsiah's management had initiated preliminary contact with the player's agent to explore a potential transfer. However, Labyad reportedly declined to enter advanced negotiations, steadfast in his commitment to continuing his sporting project in the Brazilian league.
The Moroccan player is continuing his journey with Corinthians, having joined the club on a free transfer with a contract extending until December 2026. He aims to gradually establish himself within the squad and embrace a new challenge in one of South America's most competitive leagues.
Labyad's decision comes despite the considerable financial incentives offered by the Saudi club. He has reportedly prioritized sporting stability and technical development over embarking on a new experience in the Saudi Pro League at this particular time.
The Moroccan international has previously accumulated extensive professional experience in Europe, having played for prominent clubs such as PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, Fulham, and Ajax Amsterdam. This was followed by a brief period in the Chinese league before his move to Brazilian football.
