Federation Mandates Away Matches for Throne Cup Clubs Lacking Home Stadium Standards
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced new organizational measures for the 2024-2025 Throne Cup Round of 16 matches. This decision comes due to some participating clubs not possessing stadiums that meet the approved organizational and technical conditions required to host matches.
A statement issued by the Federation's Competitions Organizing Committee clarified that several teams scheduled to play in the Round of 16 do not have stadiums qualified to host matches according to the specified standards. This prompted the committee to decide that these matches will be scheduled at the stadiums of the opposing teams.
This decision aims to ensure that Throne Cup matches are conducted under appropriate organizational and technical conditions, guaranteeing adherence to the standards adopted by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, both in terms of infrastructure and logistical aspects related to match organization.
