Continental Club Rankings: FAR Rabat Climbs to Eighth, RS Berkane Remains Fourth

FAR Rabat has climbed to eighth place in the continental rankings after qualifying for the CAF Champions League final, increasing their points tally to 41. This achievement reflects their strong return to the forefront of continental competition.

Mamelodi Sundowns leads the continental scene with 68 points, benefiting from their qualification for the CAF Champions League final and the potential to increase their tally if they win the title. Al Ahly is in second place with 66 points, followed by Espérance Sportive de Tunis in third with 58 points.

RS Berkane holds fourth place with 57 points, followed by Zamalek in fifth with 49 points, and Pyramids FC in sixth with 48 points.

The ranking system is based on clubs' performance in African competitions over the last five seasons, using a descending weighting coefficient. Points from the most recent season are multiplied by 5, then 4, then 3, down to the oldest season, ensuring an accurate measure of continental consistency.

FAR Rabat secured their spot in the final after defeating RS Berkane with an aggregate score of two goals to one over both legs, thus booking their place in the continental competition's decisive match.
