Tension Escalates at KAC Over Hakim Doumo Incident; 'Halala Boys' Announce Boycott
The "Halala Boys" faction, a prominent supporters group of Kénitra Athletic Club (KAC), has issued an important statement addressing several points related to recent events surrounding the club.
The statement clarified that the Kénitra public and the group have experienced "waves of fabrication, accusation, and doubt" in recent days. It also confirmed that the list of individuals being questioned remains extensive, with summonses continuing to reach the homes of several group members.
The faction added that what it described as "targeting the public and the group, and controversially singling out individuals" has contributed to heightened tensions. This escalation follows a statement by the club president to a media outlet, in which he claimed to possess an extensive list of names.
While the statement affirmed that the law must take its course, it also emphasized the necessity of investigating the opposing side and the president's inner circle. It argued that the incident, as described, remains questionable in its nature and repercussions, and that a fair investigation and hearing process — which, according to the statement, is currently limited to only one party, the Kénitra supporters who provide both material and moral backing to the club and possess a long history of civilized support — is essential.
The "Halala Boys" declared that the ongoing events constitute "a stain on the club's history." In this context, they announced a boycott of the upcoming Mansouria match, asserting that "the body is one and cannot be separated, with one part heading to the Wilaya (prefecture) and another accompanying the team, as long as its primary official is a main cause of this situation."
The statement concluded with the slogans: "Freedom for the public, Freedom for KAC," and "Accountability and Departure."
This escalation, as understood from the context of the statement, follows the recent attack and vandalism of club president Hakim Doumo's car, an incident that has ignited a state of tension within the team's environment.
