
US Embassy Announces Morocco's Selection for White House World Cup Task Force
The United States Embassy in the Kingdom of Morocco announced Morocco's selection to participate in the White House's World Cup 2026 task force. This move aims to enhance security cooperation in preparation for hosting the global event.
The US Embassy in Morocco published a statement on its official "X" account, which read: "Congratulations to Morocco on its selection to participate in the White House's World Cup task force, to enhance security cooperation in preparation for the upcoming World Cup tournament!"
It continued: "As we look forward to celebrating 250 years of friendship between the United States and Morocco, this step represents an additional opportunity to strengthen our security cooperation and share our common passion for sports."
The 2026 World Cup finals will take place from June 11 to July 19, spanning 16 host cities across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
