Morocco U17 Coach: "Africa Cup Draw Puts Us in Strong Group, We'll Play All Matches to Win"
Thiago Lima Pereira, coach of the Moroccan U17 national team, affirmed that the Young Atlas Lions will enter the Africa Cup of Nations finals with a winning mentality, despite being drawn into a challenging group alongside Tunisia, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
Pereira stated in a declaration to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation website: "We knew that we could get this kind of matchup, and perhaps we will face again some of the teams we played against in the North African Football Union (UNAF). But for us, it's all the same; we have to play against everyone if we want to put on a strong competition and achieve victory."
He added: "It's good that we know these teams, but on the other hand, they will enter the matches with great motivation after recent results, and they will give their all against us. We, in turn, will face them with the same idea and the same mentality."
Pereira continued: "Our goal is clear: we will play all matches to dominate and try to win. We want to be a team that imposes its style and does not rely on luck or on what the opponent offers."
The coach concluded by saying: "We respect the teams of Tunisia, Egypt, and Ethiopia, and we know they are strong, but we will enter the competition with the ambition to win from the very first step."
It is worth noting that the U17 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in the Kingdom of Morocco between May 13 and June 2.
