Sudanese club Al-Hilal has issued a new statement regarding the alleged illegal participation of Renaissance Berkane player Hamza El Moussaoui in the CAF Champions League. The club announced its intention to continue its legal escalation, sending a letter to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Committee and several CAF officials, with a copy also sent to the Sudan Football Association.

The club's lawyer, Pedro, clarified that the 48-hour deadline he had previously set for a response to official correspondence had passed without any engagement from CAF, despite a series of communications sent by the club over the past period.

The statement indicated that Al-Hilal had previously sent four official communications, including a complaint dated March 23, a request to be recognized as an interested party in the case, an official reminder on March 29, and a final request on March 30, all of which received no response.

In its latest statement, the club demanded that precautionary measures be taken to prevent Renaissance Berkane from participating in any competitions under the supervision of CAF or FIFA until a decision is made on the submitted complaint.

Al-Hilal's lawyer confirmed that the final deadline given to CAF expired on April 1, stating that the club is providing CAF with one last opportunity to respond before the end of April 3, prior to escalating the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), supported by more than 13 legal documents.

Al-Hilal had previously asserted that Renaissance Berkane player Hamza El Moussaoui underwent an anti-doping test, which allegedly showed a positive result for a banned substance. The club believes that the player's participation in both legs of the CAF Champions League matches affected the results of those games.
