Official: Moroccan Jamil Benouahi Appointed New Marumo Gallants Coach
South African club Marumo Gallants has announced the signing of Moroccan coach Jamil Benouahi to take charge of the first team, succeeding former coach Alexandre Lavette. This appointment comes as part of a technical staff restructuring during the current phase of the season.
Benouahi's appointment follows a diverse coaching career. Born in Fes, Morocco, he holds a UEFA Pro license and possesses extensive field experience gained from various coaching stints across North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Gulf region. He recently had an experience with Rahimo FC in Burkina Faso and previously worked as an assistant coach to Frenchman Hubert Velud during his tenure at FAR Rabat.
Benouahi will assume his new duties supported by a technical staff including assistants Julien Autrebon and Trevor Mathiane, with the aim of ensuring technical stability and continuing work in professional conditions.
It is worth noting that South African club Marumo Gallants was previously coached by Moroccan Abdelsalam Ouaddou.
