Atletico Madrid Achieves New Historic Milestone, Exceeding 158,000 Members
Spanish club Atletico Madrid has announced a new historic record in its membership base, with the number of members surpassing 158,000 during the first quarter of 2026. This achievement reinforces the continuous upward trajectory of membership growth, especially with over 6,000 new members joining in the first few months of the current year.
The Spanish club recorded this significant development compared to the statistics at the end of 2025, when membership stood at 151,831, reflecting a qualitative leap in the team's official affiliation. Since 2015, when the club had just over 78,000 members, the fan base has doubled to reach its current historic figure, highlighting rapid fan growth over the last decade.
The club's management implemented fundamental changes to the membership model to align with the calendar year, running from January to December. This has contributed to more effective organization of new memberships and card renewals. Furthermore, the club is experiencing increasing demand for season tickets, which have technically reached a sold-out status, solidifying the club's institutional standing in the Spanish sports landscape.
