
Dortmund Defeats Köln in Bundesliga Match
Dortmund secured an away victory over Cologne with a 2-1 scoreline in the 25th round of the German Bundesliga today at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne.
Sehrou Guirassy opened the scoring for the visitors in the 17th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Maximilian Beier. The hosts' situation worsened in the second minute of first-half stoppage time after Jahmie Simpson-Pozi was sent off. Maximilian Beier then doubled the lead for the guests after an hour of play, following an assist from Julian Brandt.
In the 88th minute, Jakub Kamiński managed to reduce the deficit for Cologne. However, this goal did not prevent the opponent's victory. Dortmund's win increased their points tally to 55, placing them second, six points ahead of Hoffenheim in third place. Meanwhile, Cologne remained on 24 points in thirteenth place.
