Massimiliano Allegri Rejects Real Madrid Links, Confirms Milan Stay
Italian media reports have indicated that AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is among the alternative options being considered by Real Madrid for the managerial position. According to Corriere dello Sport, these speculations arise amid a decline in the Spanish club's results, which has seen them suffer two consecutive defeats in La Liga, causing them to lose the top spot and fall four points behind Barcelona.
Álvaro Arbeloa currently holds the coaching reins at Real Madrid, having succeeded Xabi Alonso last January following Carlo Ancelotti's departure in spring 2025. This marks the third time Allegri's name has been linked with the Royal Club, following previous interest in 2019 and 2021. Other reports have also circulated, naming German coach Jürgen Klopp as another potential option to manage the team, which has recently struggled domestically.
Massimiliano Allegri has denied these speculations, emphasizing his happiness in his current role. The Milan coach stated, "I am happy at Milan, and furthermore, I have a contract that runs until 2027," signaling his stability in Serie A. The coach, who has won ten titles with Milan and Juventus, further explained that "the club is working hard to continue improving the team in preparation for next year," thereby reaffirming his commitment to his current project at San Siro and his unwillingness to leave the club.
