Saïss: "We Must Support Morocco Once the World Cup Starts... There's a New Coach and Possibly New Players"
Former international Romain Saïss has urged support for the Moroccan national team under new coach Mohamed Wahbi, aiming for a strong performance in the 2026 World Cup.
Speaking to RMC, Saïss stated, “We must strongly support the national team. There’s a new coach, a new staff, and possibly new players. Once the World Cup begins, we need to be a pillar of support for the team.”
He continued, “This is what we regretted during the Africa Cup of Nations. When the tournament started, we didn't feel a sense of unity towards a common goal, even if I’m not referring to everyone.”
Saïss concluded, “We went through difficult moments. We were booed in the first two matches! We heard unpleasant things about the coach and the team. Every time we achieved good results, it was thanks to our unified support for the team.”
