Bodø/Glimt Defeats Inter 2-1 Again, Eliminating Champions League Runner-Up and Making History in Round of 16
Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt continued to make history by advancing to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, after repeating their 2-1 victory over hosts Inter Milan in the second leg of the play-off round.
The Norwegian team's historic qualification for the Champions League Round of 16 comes after they overcame the competition's "runner-up" both home and away, with an aggregate score of 5-2.
Inter, playing at their home ground, the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, in front of their fans, attempted a "remontada" (comeback), but they were met by the strength of the Norwegian defense.
In contrast, Bodø/Glimt seized their opportunities and exploited errors in the Italian team's defense. Former AC Milan player Jens Hauge scored the first goal in the 58th minute, before his teammate, Håkon Evjen, added the second goal in the 72nd minute.
Defender Alessandro Bastoni scored a consolation goal for Inter in the 76th minute, but this did not change the outcome, with the match concluding in a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
