Moghreb Tétouan Maintains Division Two Lead, Wydad Témara Continues Pursuit
Moghreb Tétouan solidified their grip on the top spot of the Professional Division Two league standings for the 2025-2026 season, securing a 1-0 victory over Ittihad Abi Jaad in a Matchday 16 fixture.
The Tetouan team increased their tally to 30 points, having achieved eight wins, eight draws, and only two defeats. Meanwhile, Ittihad Abi Jaad remained in eighth place with 20 points.
For their part, Wydad Témara continued to put pressure on the league leaders, returning with a crucial 2-1 away victory against Chabab Ben Guerir. This result saw them reach 29 points, reaffirming their ambition to compete until the very end.
Chabab Al Massira settled for an away draw, 1-1, against Ittihad Islami Oujdi. Racing Sportif, however, stole the spotlight with a dominant 3-0 victory over Mouloudia Oujda, a result that complicated the calculations for the fourth-placed team.
In mid-table encounters, the match between Ittihad Amal Tiznit and Chabab Mohammedia ended in a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, Chabab Salmi secured an important 2-1 away victory against Stade Marocain.
At the bottom of the standings, Raja Beni Mellal revived their hopes with a 1-0 win over Kénitra AC. This result could provide them with a significant boost as the second half of the season begins, especially following the signing of coach Mohamed Anis.
Similarly, Wydad Fès achieved a valuable 1-0 victory against Chabab Atlas Khénifra, further complicating the situation at the bottom of the table.
