Zmirat After 1-1 Draw Against AS FAR: "We Now Deliver Against Top Teams"
Abdelwahed Zamrat, coach of Union Touarga, praised his players' performance against AS FAR, affirming that his squad has begun to assert its presence against major teams.
Speaking at the press conference following the 1-1 draw against AS FAR in Week 13 of the Professional League, Zamrat stated: "We played a strong match against AS FAR, and everyone knows the circumstances we are going through. Union Touarga has become known for rising to the occasion against big teams."
He continued: "We delivered a good performance in the 'derby,' and such matches are decided by small details. We saw the penalty, which I still don't know if it was legitimate or not. We, on our part, capitalized on an error by their goalkeeper and defender, which allowed us to get back into the game."
Zamrat added: "We created many problems for the opponent. Now, an important match against Ittihad Tanger awaits us, and we must secure all three points, just like in all our matches where we aim for three points. Our current situation does not allow us to settle for just one point."
He further commented: "Union Touarga will make its mark in the upcoming matches. We are a developing team that gives opportunities to young players, and this will pay off. Such players develop through these matches, like Houssam Saddik, Taha Mejni, and Fouad Zahouani. We have lost many matches where we deserved to lose, but that is football."
He concluded: "The season will be tough, and the competition will be fierce. What Union Touarga lacks are the three points, which will be the beginning. I believe if the squad I have wins, it will be difficult to play against Union Touarga."
