Todd Dunivant: "Kevin Impressed from Day One in Preseason"
New York City FC has officially announced the signing of midfielder Kevin Pierre, who was selected in the second round of the MLS SuperDraft, to a first-team contract. The agreement covers the 2026 season and includes club options for future seasons extending through 2028-29. Pierre immediately joined the team for their season-opening match against LA Galaxy.
Todd Dunivant, the club's Sporting Director, stated that Pierre "impressed from day one in preseason and earned the respect of his teammates and coaches." Dunivant added that the club believes Pierre possesses the necessary tools to further strengthen the team's midfield, expressing their pleasure in welcoming him to New York City FC.
Kevin Pierre was selected out of Georgia Southern University. Last season, New York City FC finished fifth in the Eastern Conference and reached the Conference Finals.
