Samu Omorodion Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery
Porto FC has announced the successful knee surgery of Spanish international striker Samu Omorodion. The player suffered a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee. The operation was performed by Dr. Manuel Leyes at the Quirón Clinic in Madrid, with Porto's medical team directly coordinating the procedure. No complications were reported during the surgery.
Omorodion sustained the injury on February 9 during the Clásico match against Sporting. He is now set to begin the second phase of his recovery under the supervision of Porto FC's health department, led by Jorge Costa.
This injury has significantly impacted his chances of being included in the Spanish national team squad, which coach Luis de la Fuente will select for the World Cup this summer.
