Matías Almeyda: 'I Have Complete Trust in Javi Martínez and the Players'
Sevilla coach Matías Almeyda announced that he will serve the first match of his suspension on Sunday, when his team faces Getafe in La Liga "EA Sports" competition.
In Almeyda's absence from the dugout, Javi Martínez will assume coaching duties on the field. The suspended coach plans to maintain full communication with Martínez and the players throughout the match, providing tactical information to the team and speaking to them at halftime. Almeyda confirmed he would be forced to stay away from the pitch during these games. In this context, Almeyda stated: "I got to know Javi this year, and I like how he works, which is why I appointed him, because he possesses great ability."
Almeyda expressed his complete confidence in Martínez and the team's lineup to deliver an effective performance during the encounter, stating: "I have complete trust in him and the players."
On the other hand, Almeyda described Getafe as an opponent with a "very well-thought-out playing style" and whose players "give their soul in every ball."
