Former Moroccan international Zouhair Feddal has revealed a strange situation he experienced during Bosnian coach Vahid Halilhodžić's tenure with the Moroccan national team.
Speaking on the "Hors-Jeu 212" podcast, Feddal stated: "On one occasion, Romain Saïss suffered an injury during a national team camp, so coach Vahid Halilhodžić called me up to join the squad."
He added: "I traveled to Morocco and sat down with him to talk. During our discussion, the coach surprised me by saying that he didn't know I was Moroccan."
Feddal continued: "He frankly told me that he thought I was Algerian or Tunisian and didn't know I held Moroccan nationality."
