Santos: 'Everyone is Ready to Give Their Maximum Against Al Ahly'
Alexander Santos, coach of AS FAR, praised his team's high level of readiness ahead of their clash against Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the sixth round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
During the pre-match press conference, Santos stated: "Fortunately, we don't have many injuries. Even with some absences from the opponent, every team in the world is built with a group of players: 20, 24, 22, or 23, depending on each club. That's it, we have confidence in everyone."
Regarding the injured player, he added: "The player Boureika suffered an injury, which is unfortunate for us and for him, but this is the life of football." The AS FAR coach continued: "Now, everyone except Boureika is ready to play, and even when we had injuries previously, or when we received yellow cards, for example, that sidelined two or three of our players, this is not a concern."
Santos concluded his remarks: "The only concern is to focus on the things we can control. We strongly believe that the players who are ready will deliver a great match. Regardless of who plays, whether it's the starting lineup, the substitutes, or the players who don't usually participate, everyone is ready to give their maximum for the AS FAR team."
