Mamelodi Sundowns Suspend Performance Analyst Ahead of MC Alger Clash Over Leaked Tactical Information to Mokwena

South African club Mamelodi Sundowns has sparked widespread controversy following its decision to suspend a technical staff member and launch an urgent internal investigation into accusations of leaking sensitive tactical information.

According to South African channel "SABC," the club suspended performance analyst Mario Marsha over allegations that he leaked tactical plans, training details, and even login credentials for internal club data systems to MC Alger coach Rulani Mokwena. Mokwena, also South African, previously worked with Marsha at Sundowns.

The club, according to the same sources, has initiated a detailed investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the alleged leak. There are concerns that the leaked information could be used by Mokwena when MC Alger visits Sundowns this week in a crucial match, part of the final group stage round of the CAF Champions League competition.

Sundowns will host MC Alger this Saturday (14:00 GMT+1). The South African team needs to secure a victory to advance to the quarter-finals.
