
Olympique Safi Qualifies for Confederation Cup Quarter-Finals After 2-1 Win Over San Pedro
Olympique Safi successfully secured their place in the Confederation Cup quarter-finals after defeating their Ivorian visitors San Pedro 2-1 on Sunday evening, in a match played as part of the fourth round.
Salah Eddine Errahouli opened the scoring for "The Safi Shark" in the 30th minute, before his teammate Moussa Kone added a second goal in the 89th minute.
San Pedro managed to pull a goal back in the 90+2nd minute through Amalaman Allo.
The victory increased Olympique Safi's tally to 9 points, placing them second in Group A. Having secured qualification, the team will now aim to finish the group stage at the top, a position currently held by Algeria's USM Alger with 10 points.
In their upcoming fixture, Olympique Safi will host Mali's Djoliba, before traveling to Algeria to face USM Alger in the final round.
