Disorganization Plagues Belqshour's League After Raja-Ittihad Touarga Match Scheduling Confusion
The sudden change of venue for the Raja Sports Club vs. Ittihad Touarga match, and the circumstances surrounding its scheduling, cannot be overlooked, given the state of confusion and disorganization that has come to characterize the management of the National Professional Football League under the leadership of its president, Abdeslam Belqshour.
The League had initially announced that the match would be held at the City Stadium in Rabat, only to later decide to move it to the 18 November Stadium in Khemisset, citing incomplete administrative procedures and a request from the host team. However, it quickly retracted this decision in record time, reaffirming that the match would indeed take place at the City Stadium. This sequence of events raises numerous questions about the decision-making process and the management of professional league match scheduling.
This confusion is further compounded by the League's statement regarding the ninth-round schedule, which omitted mention of the stadium that would host the Olympique Dcheira vs. Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi match. Olympique Dcheira later announced that they would host the match at the Grand Stadium of Agadir, which recently hosted the Africa Cup of Nations matches.
These incidents once again bring to the forefront the issue of haphazard match scheduling and venue determination, at a time when clubs and fans were expecting greater clarity and organizational stability. This stability is crucial to ensure fair play, the smooth running of the competition, and to spare the professional league from such recurring organizational disruptions.
