French club Lens is set to sign left-back Arthur Masuaku on a six-month loan deal. The 32-year-old player has agreed terms with the club, which currently sits second in Ligue 1 and boasts a ten-match winning streak.

An agreement has also been reached with English club Sunderland, where Masuaku joined last summer from Turkish side Besiktas. However, he faced difficulties due to injuries and a reduced role in the squad. Masuaku is reportedly fit, having recently featured for the DR Congo national team in Morocco.

Masuaku will replace Dayver Machado, who departed for Nantes in early December. His experience and leadership, as captain of the DR Congo national team, are expected to be of significant value to Lens in the second half of the season.

Lens is scheduled to play against Olympique Marseille tonight at the Stade Vélodrome.
