
David Trezeguet Returns to River Plate in New Institutional Role
Former Juventus star David Trezeguet has returned to Argentine club River Plate to take on a new institutional role, with his appointment officially announced on January 23.
Trezeguet previously played for River Plate from January 2012 to July 2013, scoring 17 goals in 37 appearances and helping the team win the Argentine second division. He now joins the club's management thirteen years after the end of his playing career there.
River Plate announced on its official website: "David Trezeguet has been officially appointed to a new institutional role focused on the club's participation and representation, with the aim of supporting the relationship strategy, developing alliances, and strengthening River Plate's institutional standing."
Trezeguet's new responsibilities include establishing strategic alliances, supporting commercial agreements, representing the club at official events, and engaging with key figures in the world of football and the sports industry. The presentation ceremony was held in the presence of President Stefano Di Carlo.
