Johnson Optimistic About New Chelsea Manager Rosenior
Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has expressed optimism regarding the club's new manager, Liam Rosenior, who took over from Enzo Maresca last week.
Johnson praised Rosenior's performance in his first match in charge of Chelsea, stating: “His first game leading Chelsea (an FA Cup win over Charlton) went as well as it possibly could. He achieved a fantastic result, and Chelsea delivered a good collective performance.” Johnson added that Rosenior “looks ready for a fight.”
Johnson also expressed sympathy for Maresca, noting that “what cost him his job was the lack of consistency in Chelsea's performance.” He offered advice to the players regarding the current uncertainty, saying: “You just have to do your best to ignore it and do your job.” He expressed hope that “the players quickly adopt Liam's ideas and philosophies and achieve consistent results.”
