French club AS Monaco announced on Monday evening that their 26-year-old Ghanaian defender, Mohammed Salisu, has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.

The player sustained the serious injury last Saturday during his team's Ligue 1 Matchday 17 fixture against Olympique Lyonnais, which took place at the Stade Louis II and ended in a 3-1 defeat for Monaco.
