West Ham Sign Argentine Striker Taty Castellanos

English club West Ham United announced on Monday the official signing of Argentine striker Taty Castellanos, 27, from Italian club Lazio. The deal is reportedly worth £25 million (€28 million), and Castellanos has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract, with an option for an additional year. Castellanos is the Hammers' second reinforcement during the winter transfer window, as the club seeks to improve its position in the Premier League. West Ham currently sit third from bottom, four points adrift of safety, and recently suffered a defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Castellanos boasts a diverse career, having previously played in Chile, Uruguay, the United States, and Spain. He spent three seasons in Serie A with Lazio, scoring two goals in twelve appearances this season. The player is now available to manager Nuno Espírito Santo and could feature in Tuesday's match against Nottingham Forest.
